SPACEBEL Closely Involved in the 2nd AI4Copernicus Event : EO & AI for a Safer World

Please note that this event has been postponed until Spring 2022 due to the current Covid situation.

Focussing on Security and Defence, the new AI4Copernicus day organised by the Copernicus Relays of Belgium (i.e. Skywin, ISSeP, SPACEBEL and VITO) in cooperation with the Royal Military Academy will highlight the interaction between EO and AI for a safer world.

Scheduled on November 30th at the RMA in Brussels, the second AI4Copernicus edition comprises an extensive programme covering several thematic talks ranging from infrastructure over human safety to agriculture & food security as well as an insightful round-table addressing more defense-related aspects.

SPACEBEL and ScanWorld will be among the keynote speakers with the following hot-topic presentations:

  • SPACEBEL in cooperation with Multitel: IADAS: project to identify individual tree and tree species based on EO & AI.
  • ScanWorld: Digital agriculture: can hyperspectral imagery change the game?

Moreover, the event includes a dedicated session “New Talents for EO & AI” set up with the support of Switch to Space, which will offer students the opportunity to connect with the interdisciplinary areas of today’s Space sector.

In order to reach out to an international audience, the conference will also be on-line this year.

On-line registration in advance is mandatory: https://www.ai4copernicus.org/
