The kick-off of ESA’s LandSAfe took place on May 10th. The Landing Site Risk Analysis software framework project is part of the Aurora program. Aim of the project: develop a reliable tool to evaluate and certify appropriate sites for safe landings on the Moon.

In collaboration with the Universities of Liège (ULiège – Belgium) and Hannover (IPI – Germany), SPACEBEL is setting up a software suite that will generate lunar mapping, including landing risk maps, and derived products.
