New SPACEBEL Projects as a Result of Our Qualified Partnership with ESOC
Following the extension of the Ground Segment and Operations framework agreement with the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC), ESA’s main mission control centre located in Darmstadt (Germany) for the provision of so-called “deliverables and industrial support”, SPACEBEL has recently secured 3 important contracts :
- The ESA Ground Operation Systems Common Core (EGOS-CC) represents the latest generation of the European Ground Systems Common Core (EGS-CC), i.e. the European common infrastructure for monitoring and control of all types of Space systems, mission phases and categories with a perspective of long-term service and continuous extensions – to which SPACEBEL has been bringing our expertise for several years.
- The ESA Ground Operations System Multi-Mission Generation (EGOS-MG) covers the integration of new applications to provide ESOC flight operations teams with the required tools in order to perform all types of ESA spacecraft mission operations.
- The development of the Hera spacecraft operational simulator for mission control.
Signed in 2021 and valid until 2026, the framework contract with ESOC – consortium led by GMV – covers the following domains: operations engineering, real time operations, missions operations infrastructure IT services, ground stations engineering, data systems, astro-dynamics, end-to-end ground segment engineering.
Already selected as Qualified ESOC Partner in 2010, SPACEBEL welcomes this opportunity to support ESOC on its Space projects while addressing the challenges resulting from ESOC's new service approach.
